Hardware Requirements
The following hardware is required to install the Thinsy Virtual Conference software.
- Standard x86 Server with one or more CPUs that have Virtualization capability. The following terminology is used by Intel and AMD to describe this capability
- Intel VT (Virtualization Technology)

Software Requirements:
A unique feature of the Thinsy Virtual Conference software is that it has a built in Windows Virtual Machine dedicated for Conference use. As the administrator setting up the Thinsy Virtual Conference software, you need to create this Windows Virtual Machine, and install the set of software useful to the users of your Virtual Conference System. Thinsy Virtual Conference software includes a full web GUI based management software to create this Windows Virtual Machine
The following software is required to prepare the Thinsy Virtual Conference system.
- Windows XP CDROM or Windows XP ISO Image file, along with a Windows License for the same. The following version of Windows are compatible with Thinsy Virtual Conference

- Windows XP Home SP3
- Any other productivity software that might be useful for your users. Examples are Microsoft Office, Open Office, Photoshop, etc.
Network Requirements:
The Thinsy Virtual Conference software requires the following network resources
- Three Internal IP Addresses provided by a DHCP Server, e.g. 192.168.1.195, 192.168.1.196, 192.168.1.197
- A DNS Mapping of one of these IP Addresses to a convenient name, e.g. virtconf.examplecompany.com maps to 192.168.1.196
- Optional forwarding of two ports of a public IP address from the company firewall to an internal IP address. This is required to enable participants from outside the company network to participate in the Virtual Conference.
Installation of the Thinsy Virtual Conference software:
Installation of the Thinsy Virtual Conference is performed in three steps
- Step 1: Download and Installing the Thinsy Internal Cloud Platform and Media Controller
Thinsy Virtual Conference has a Virtualization Server layer called EnSpeed VMM that installs on bare hardware, a management server called EnSpeed VM Orchestrator for managing VMs, and a Media Controller Virtual Machine. These three components are installed in one easy step using the bootable DVD image
- Step 2: Preparing a Windows Virtual Machine for Conference use
In this step, you will use the EnSpeed VM Orchestrator’s Web GUI to upload the Windows XP Install CD ISO image, and create a Windows Virtual Machine for use in the Thinsy Virtual Conference
- Step 3: Downloading, Creating and Configuring the Thinsy Media Controller Virtual Machine
At the end of steps (1) and (2) above, you will have two Virtual Machines – the Thinsy Media Controller VM, and the Windows VM. In this step, you will configure the Media Controller, and optionally, your firewall.
